The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) of University College of Engineering Villupuram (UCEV) was established during the academic year 2010. The TPC performs all placement related activities under the guidance/support of Dean, UCEV and Centre for University - Industry Collaboration (CUIC), Anna University Chennai. The main focus of TPC is to produce professionals with sound technical skills and desires to make them compete in global arena. The TPC ensures a conducive atmosphere to create good relationship between institute and corporate. The TPC provides necessary infrastructure and hospitality to the guests for conducting training programmes and placement drives.
VISION
The TPC of UCEV is focused to create expertise in the field of engineering and technology. The TCP pays more attention to mould the students with good technical competence and managerial skills to meet the industry expectations. The TPC is focused to create strong bridge between UCEV graduates and Industrial corporate.
MISSION
The TPC is committed to provide excellent guidance, counseling and training to the students of UCEV for their professional career with reputed organizations. The TPC is committed to working towards 100% placement records with dedication, attitude and complete involvement. The TPC emphasize ethical values and professional responsibilities among students on the diverse needs of the world as an engineer/technologist.
OBJECTIVES
The TPC functions with the objective of giving apt career guidance and placement opportunities. The TPC is objected to do the following functions,
-
    • To provide career guidance to the students for placements, projects, in-plant training, entrepreneurship and higher studies etc.
-
   • To organize focused training programmes such as Soft-skill & Personality Development, and Career Development by expert trainers from Industry, Academia and Alumni.
-
   • Special training are given in the areas viz. problem solving, analytical thinking, programming ability, group discussion, employability skills, entrepreneurship development, etc.
-
    • To organize and coordinate campus placement drives to compete for recruitment and selection in reputed organizations.
-
    • To sustain a strong relationship with the corporate and provide them a need based skilled manpower.
FACILITIES
The UCEV TPC is well equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities like online/classroom based written test halls, interview halls, group discussion tables, etc to smoothly conduct placement activities.
The placement cell is equipped with the following facilities to aid the campus drive process:

    •   Well furnished air conditioned rooms for written test, group discussion and face-to-face interview.

    •   Well established Computer labs for online training and examinations.
-
    •   Air conditioned Auditorium/Seminar Halls/Meeting Halls.
-
    •   Air conditioned Guest House and Dining Halls.
-
    •   High Speed Internet (100 mbps) with Wi-Fi access, 500+ Computers with Windows/Linux Operating Systems and Video Conferencing Facilities, etc.

    •   Round the clock power supply by dedicated UPS and Generators.
TPC staff members and student placement representatives will provide on-spot assistance during the placement drives.
